Watch ‘Chile, personal geography’ on Tënk.ca!

Chile, personal geography takes us on the roads of today’s Chile, but also on those of memory. Marilú Mallet had to leave Chile in 1973, following General Pinochet’s coup d’état, and her life was forever marked by that event. A filmmaker living in Quebec for forty years, she returns to the country of her childhood to investigate this place she no longer really knows. Through interviews, archival footage and poetic reflection sequences, the film poses a universal question: how can identity be defined today?
